WEC installed 64 permanent rock anchors for uplift of a new pump station in Rowan County Georgia. Rock anchors consisted of double corrosion protection Grade 150 1.75” threadbar and were 50 feet long. All rock anchors were installed and tested according to Post Tension Institute (PTI) standards. The biggest challenge of this job was drilling micropiles with the water table virtually under our feet and through the alluvial overburden.
